the Viper is now $54.99 at devineo.cn and .com so anyone who was holding out for a cheap time or anyone who's going for the second GC mod then it's probably a good time to buy, however the prices might go down a bit more in time (when RippeR///GC comes out soon)

its about time it dropped, it was way too expensive before, they should make the flasher an optional thing now that it can de done from disk too

i dont think theres much competition from ripper gc, its pretty cack

I would've hoped for a bigger price drop tho, £35 is a good price, but cheaper is always better...I hope when RippeR///GC comes out the price will drop once more...and I have a cube waiting for me to fudge up an install on

you can play with no disc swap if you have a BBA but it's not 100% working or available yet...I am trying to ask the GCOS team to make a special version of their brilliant software to test it.

BBA (Broadband Adapter) is essential here but I have my GC sitting on top of a PC. I would love to be able to play games from either my PC's HD or DVD Drive (yeah cut's down on media problems greatly), you could even rip the garbage out and run games from CD instead

edit as for no swap mod chips, I think it's safe to say no untill another competitor makes a chip, which is hard to know untill it's happening.

a Viper really isn't a bad option just dont worry about the horror stories, most of the people with horror stories just couldn't be arsed to know everything about it and just went in half hearted, fuked it up and then blame the chip. The viper chip works 100% every single time, I like those numbers

if im fitting cobras for mates who dont even own a pc, why are they going to need a flasher, i have 5 flashers in my draw that will never get used, i could have bought 6 chips and 1 flasher really

sorry, I see what you mean now mate, yes that would make a lot more sense to sell the chip for say $30and the flasher for $15
