    rite this has come out of the blue i cant view NO sites without HTTP://WWW. in front of it.. sometimes i get lucky and it will be just HTTP:// anyone got any ideas how to fix this issue? and NO i do not want to use fireforx/opera etc

    not sure of the reasons why its stopped working, but its easier just to type in the address and ctrl-enter it.
    this action automatically adds www and.com on most browsers.

    I had this many moons ago. IIRC the advice then was "to locate and delete the LMHOSTS file".

    I seem to remember it did make some difference. Once again, it was a long while ago.
