    Default TopUpTv

I have a box and it has came up with around 10 top up tv channels.. they all have a good signal. It comes up after around 5 secs that you can pay £7.99 a month for some channels. I would like some of the topup ones but i cant see any slot for the cars to go into.. So why would it come up that i could get it, if i cant?? Do you know what i mean..?

Maybe there is a box or something you can add on that you fit the card into? I dont know.. I'm new to all this.

    Hope someone can help me..
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Some boxes do have card slots or can have a cam fitted. What box do you have?

You can check if your box is compatible here...

Best to phone 'Top Up' my friend, and ask them .. !!

They MUST have the solution for your specific box, if there is a solution ..

@Karolina:- Boxes either,- 1. have a card slot ready for TOTV card. 2. Have a CI slot for a cam to put the TOTV card in, or 3. Neither... Looks like you have a number 3.

Usually around the back or front (is on my satellite reciever). Some recievers don't have the ci at all including the Goodman so can be manufactured cheaper. I believe this why top up tv have started xtra view at 36 so they can just use a MHEG block out for a fta video stream to get money from freeview boxes.

probably serial - it won't work for topup tv, the slot would look like a pcmcia slot you find in laptops

some manufacturers allow you to upgrade the box via serial

with my dev cable boxes I connect via serial for debug info from my apps/games - in most cases a serial port on a stb won't be usable on production boxes
