What's the point when u can share the cost with the ESA? Britain is probably one of the biggest funders of it anyway.
The UK Space Program will be to make more space for the fat cconts we seem to be proliferating.
Dont think britain will ever have its own space program, but certainly something as part of the EU, which it already has hasn't it?

Push down Taps, you know it makes sense. Wash Them.
Briton cannot have a space program as they are already part of the European space program. I dont think Briton has the expertise to go it alone.
If they do Ive got a few candidates Id like to send to the moon.
There are 3 types of people in the world - those who make things happen, those who watch things happen; and those who wondered what happened.

Conservatives. Putting the 'N' into Cuts.
What about Beagle? Was that not a UK initiative? All that said though, the UK no longer knows how to innovate and has become far too reliant on other countries for import/export or knowledge and resources. By constantly ignoring the opportunities available and refusing to take risks or develop our home grown talent, the UK is becoming extremely limited in output of anything. Whilst this continues and penny pinching officials pursue a short term blinkered strategy bereft of any vision, innovation or finance, we will never have a serious space programme. First we should ask the US to launch these idiots into space starting with a few well known Political Dictators from each of the parties. Then maybe, just maybe we can start about 20 years behind everyone else
