Hi,

Is there any software which syncs with the date/time that i can install to remind me about personal items, maybe by popping up in the taskbar a bit like when theres a windows update?

well, your really talking about 2 different things.

syncing time date can be done from the time date options, from control panel, or by double clicking the clock in the system tray (if you have xp). its under the tab marked "Internet Time".

something to remind you about personal items... well.. fuck me theres a whole raft of organisational tools out there. check out http://fileforum.betanews.com/ if you want something free. or theres always outlook, i use that and the calander is kinda the industry standard used in most large corporations and home users who have ms office installed. handy for reminders (mostly using the calander) and has a task list that can be as simple or as complex as u like.

you could just be a cheapskate and set windows task scheduler to open a file in notepad to remind you

i have a text file set to open on boot...just use it as a kinda to do list. use outlook for appointments and events etc.
