How long are you online for in a day?

some ppl here have jobs which based around the internet so would be good to see the duration of time spent on the internet by all us members

my router is never off and tbh i have the computer on the whole time i'm at home, meaning i am using msn and occasionally visiting forums and stuff, even if not actually at the computer.

when I get into work from 9-5 (inc lunch) "8 hours", a couple when I get home, I'm no good at maths so I'll say "average" amount of time online :whistle

Online from about 9:00 in the morning till 1am or so most days. A lot of these hours are while at work and I cannot say I am looking at the net for that duration but I have a browser open for that length of time that I dip into regularly.

sadly it's probably 9+ but I dont feel bad as i'm not always online (despite how much I post :whistle) it's more just a mixture of frequent 'update' trips mixed with work and general pleasure like putting some music on or whatever...my PC is the server for my house, my work machine and also what powers the office, living room, kitchen and soon to be bathroom with music, tv shows and whatever else I wanna put on

but to sum that up: 'yeah i spend 9+ hours online probably every day'

well barring a 2 month house move i'd guess this pc has been connected to the net since about 1999 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except for the odd maintainance shutdown or format reinstall and 2 1 week periods when i "forogt" to pay bt.

of course i'm not at the keyboard all that time but since i smoke like a chimney i have to walk past the pc to get to the smoking room so i always put the monitor on and check things.

The 'net is my lifeblood. All weekend and evenings (16:30 thru 11:30pm).

So I'm not as hard as bertroot altho when at work (weekdays) I dip in and shell out 3 or 4 hours, so around 9+ for me too

Am online all day at work and then for a couple of hours on the evening.... but home PC is on all the time DL'ing. But actuall surfing is about 3 hours a day. DF is always on at work though

i have about average for df too, 2 hour before work (dont start till 4.30) then 4 hours on and off at work then a couple more once i get home so about 8 hours a day on and off

Well on average I wake up at about 12.30 - 1.00 pm,,, turn the puter on (if not allready on) then go straight to DF and then another forum that I am Admin on. Check out what is going on. I am then on till about 3-4aam. :thumbs

its difficult to judge how long. Because I would be constantly on and off all day long. But of actual news/forum reading I would say about an hour or two

In work from 8 till 5 - on the net all day, then some evenings I'm on - usually till about 12 or so if I'm online, or I steal an hour or 2 here and there in amongst football training, the gym, the guitar... etc etc

My ADSL router is on 24/7 connected to a 1.1 MBPS connection and my PC is connect via eithernet & my laptop is connected via WIFI to my access point!

My standard uptime is about 4 - 7 days without switching off!

There are 3 pc's on 24-7 and my laptop which I usually use between 9:30 and 10:30 while in bed and for an hour before bed. so per day the internet is being used for 74 hours. just wait till my days laptop turns up.
