Vauxhall Corsa Radio prob

Hey, i have a sony radio in my corsa but whenever the engine gets turned off everything gets reset. I remember seeing on here a while back somone with a similar problem and he had the wires round the wrong way. However i tried that and it makes no difference. My old man said something about it not having a live but then he checked it and it did.
Any help will be much appreciated

you need to wire the power of the stereo to a permanent live , easiest one to get to is the clock , just put a crimplock on the wire at the rear of the clock (pulls out easy) best to use a tester to find your live , then connect it to your yellow and red wire on the sony stereo
