Brian Quinn statement about the wage bill is correct.He was talking about the TOTAL wage bill,not just the players wages.Martin O'Neill wrongly assumed that he was talking about just the playing staff wages and that was where the confusion occurred.
they will get it sorted out,behind closed doors,where it should have been kept in the first place and they can then concentrate on Sunday's game

Now all the back page headlines and phone-ins will be about the alleged "feud" between Quinn and O'Neill.When what they should be about is the game on Sunday,which would put even more pressure on the forces of darkness,as the way they have been performing the last couple of games the press would struggle to write anything positive about them

While on the subject of newspaper headlines.The one on the back page of the Daily Ranger showed exactly how they always try to portray Celtic in a negative light.

"CELTIC ASK FOR THREE YEARS TO PAY FOR BELLAMY".

All major transfers nowadays are done on an instalment basis,Arsenal are taking something like 6 years to pay for Reyes,Man Utd are buying Rooney on the never-never.Even Rangers have been involved in installment transfer deals.Ferguson and Amoruso to Blackburn and Ball from Everton to Rangers.
So the headline should have read.

"CELTIC BID SIX MILLION FOR BELLAMY"

But we wouldn't want to dispel the biscuit tin myth would we:thumbs

Typical tabloids.Even though the Celtic fans have had a load of laughs about the Peperami thing,but for The Sun to make it a front page headline is ridiculous.The world is going to hell in a handbasket and the tabloid press think that Peperami's being barred from Ibrox is the major story of the day.The feckers will print anything to sell newspapers:coffee:

Yeh m8, but its more directed towards Celtic..Look back countless OF games and tell me who has always had the headlines:nowords: Fuckin stinks!!!!! But these stories sell papers but ffs its continous.Think I might just start buying the Rankers news:cartman

Your righr mate,it has been going on for years.The one that finally convinced me was years ago
Celtic had just broken their own record transfer fee to sign Tony Cascarino,and the screaming back page headline in the Daily Record

"McSTAY SET FOR EVERTON"....A story that had absolutely no truth in it,but rather than give Celtic some positive press for breaking the transfer record.They had to have the big screaming negative headline
