Original is best closely followed by 2. Harvey Moon was in 2 which spoiled it slightly though he did play a good part.

And you certainly don't want to see 4 & 5. One of them is on the Sci Fi channel at the moment and boy is it shit.

please, can we ban anyone who thinks any hellraiser after hellbound is even any good, let alone considered for best hellraiser movie

I'm a massive hellraiser fan, and must say Hellbound is indeed my fave hellraiser movie, hellraiser 1 is fabulous, dont get me wrong, but the second movie feels a lot more solid and confident too me, and has even more fantastic quotes ("But trick us again, child, and your suffering will be legendary even in Hell.)

But both are tremendous

and if anyone else ever mentions the pish that is hellraisers 3,4,5 again I think they should get an immediate 7 day ban,they were that bad that didnt Clive Barker want his name struck from the credits? He didnt write or direct any of the movies after 2 and it shows

Number 1 easily. 2 wasn't bad but was helped by having a far bigger budget.

I loved 1 +2, and went to the late night screening of 3 at the pictures, what a pile of $hit never watched another one after that, tbh until I read this thread I didn't know they had made that many sequels.

The first film is easily the best of the bunch, Altho i like the series as a whole.

Hellbound was better due to the gore factor was a bit better, Hellraiser was awesome when it 1st came out but personally thought Hellbound was better!

Got Deader the other night which is Hellraiser 7. Not had chance to watch it yet but I don't hold out much hope for it being that good. We shall see though. You never know.
