    Default Batman Begins

I went to see this with a little anticipation. God love Tim Burton but i do believe there is still a contract on the life of Joel Schumacher for the abominations that were batman forever and batman and robin.

I have to say this was a fantastic batman movie - totally goes back to the darkness of the first batman film (which was a bloody great flick)

bale is probably the deepest and most realistic batman actor yet - portraying a very angry and tortured soul who absolutley really want to kick some ass.

the movie was very realistic and far away from any kind of camp comic book feel.

the only bits i didnt like were the choppy beginning - but it soon picked up and more than held its own

definatley give it a very strong 8.5/10

yeah i saw this yesterday and its the best film ive seen in a looooooong time, the casting was brilliant, ill always think of micheal caine as alfred now, Everyone else was good, even katie holmes, morgan freeman (yet again) shines and both him and caine add little comedy moments without overdoing it (somethin i felt was apparent in episode 3)

Gothem is realised in a very believeable way, the special effects are seamless and there isnt too many of em to stop em being special.

Bale himself is now batman for me, his transformation from rich nob to dark knight is awesome, i was really worried he would make a mess of this role after seeing equlibrium but he is absolutely perfect.

The story itself is very good, it feels like a comic book story but never seems silly or unbelievable. theres a nice unexpected twist in the plot too.

bad points? none, other than there isnt much scope for a follow up

Everyone should see this movie at the cinema, another 8.5 from me.

ive been reading up and apparently this is the first of 3 batman movies with bale in, the next one will have joker as the baddie, i thought the opening left for joker in this movie was to make it lead up to Keatons 1989 batman but apparently these films are independant to the others

    cant wait, need more batman!

Saw this yesturday too, I was outstanded, a absolutely fantastic film. I did have hesitation as the comic book movies aren't exactly my thing but this was amazing, also finally was bothered to see Sin City, also a truely great film!

I have always loved Bale's acting since American Psycho, for some reason I seem to be the only person who thoutght Equilibrium was sh*t.

    Equilibrium was pretty shit.

As for This film i will be seeing it on the 27th so i am looking forward to it!

I'm not happy about them remaking the Tim Burton classic.

Right now Keaton is still Batman for me, maybe this film will change my mind then.

went to see this.. ive seen all the other batman movies.. and this was definately the best. this was an awesome action flick.

they seem to have finally got this just right.. bale was excellent as batman.. and caine was fuckin hilarious as alfred.. they have a nice mix of action, drama and comedy moments.

really enjoyed seeing all the gadgets, bat cave and stuff develop and the batmobile mk1 lol..

very much looking forward to the next batman movies.

I'm with badtaste on this one. I've seen it twice now and on both occassions I thought it was shit to put it bluntly.

So much more could have been done with this seeing as they had bale and the chance to introduce us to the start of the whole batman story.

Believe me, you're not. Equilibrium was utter, utter tosh. Very much looking forward to this new Batman though. Katie Holmes. YES.

I didnt think equilibrium was amazing but its not that bad.

Katie holmes is rubbish in batman begins, her little squishy dumpling face doesnt fit the bill for batmans lover, simple as that.

    Touche.

I really should change that if I'm going to be opininated and snobbish about films.

Fuck it, Jean Claude is just too fucking hilarious. I'd rather watch The unintentional laugh marathon that is The Quest ten times in a row than the dross that was Equilibrium.

I saw it last night, I'd decided not to download it as a few different people had said how great it was. All I can say for the film is that there was nothing shit about it.

I didn't like the way they had tried, (half heartedly!) to jump on the kung-fu training bandwagon. I didn't think the attempt at the few comic book style, one liners worked too well, and I liked the way that in the other movies, a bit of the original batman campness was seen, ie, in the baddies, the humor... Robin!

Liked it! Thought it looked more into his character and less on the 'comic' side of Batman. Dark film and ties in nice with the sequel which will be here shortly im sure!

Really enjoyed the film. Fight scenes were a bit too close up for my likeing, Caine as Alfred grew on me & Bale as the new Bat worked really well. Add to that a couple of perky nip shots from Cruises bint was an added bonus.

    Overall 8.5/10
