hi all

anyone know of a link that tells you what services you can strip from windows xp to improve cpu speed, i keep tinkering with services i dont really understand and find that i cant get the internet or log on etc on next boot up, guess thats 1 way of learning :-)

Nothing you do to your software config is going to force your hardware beyond it's physical limitations, all you can do in that respect is buy faster hardware.

With regard to safely disabling Windows services, try Black Viper
Don't take everything said there as gospel though, services that can safely be disabled will all depend on your current setup.
