    Default Time lapse

My first attempt at some time lapse photography, it's of an avocado plant I just started growing. It's not as good as I wanted it because I left the camera (a PS2 eyetoy) too close to the plant so the plant grew out of shot, that and someone knocked the plant pot. At least I learned from it.

Did you use the software I found? - looking good for a first effort - might have to give it a go at some point...

Yeah, it works really well, for some reason it wouldn't encode directly into DivX though so I had to make it into an uncompressed avi file first which was massive! about 700 megs for 30 seconds of film!

Deadly - it's not something stupid like peerguardian blocking the site (although the latest version of peerguardian shouldn't do that anyway...)

Mule - Cheers. Nice video! What intervals were the photos taken at? and over how long did you take them?

flipper321 - Nah, ive not got any software like that running, so i've got no idea! strange...

I took a shot once every 2 minutes (which is totally overkill but I didn't want to make the mistake of regretting not taking enough pics.)

I used PY softwares active webcam to take the shots and Jpgavi from NDW to stick all the jpegs together as an uncompressed avi. I then used dr.divx to make it a reasonable size avi.

It was only 2 days worth, which is guessable from the transition from night to day

Took alot of experimentation, in the end I took out 2/3 of the pictures and made it 25fps.

Surprising amount of growth for just 2 days i assumed it was over a longer time period. Im gonna give this a shot sometime, not sure what to do tho, might try capturing the sun coming up/going down.
