Lost EVERYTHING - can it be retrieved?

Whilst speaking to the most helpful(sic) Ben from BT Broadband Help yesterday my PC crashed. When i switched the bugger back on i got the Windows XP loading screen then a blue screen with nothing on it. The PC clicked and then just kept looping.

I'm a complete tool with PC's and had not an idea what was up, tried safe mode (F5) but a whole list of somethings came up and stopped at C:windows/System/drivers or similar to that and just froze.

This morning in my infinite wisdom i stuck the restore CD in and now i'm back However i've lost 3 years of my business work which was on the PC which is a bugger at best but more importantly i've lost 5 years of bloody good porn:whistle along with everything that i had ever installed. Anti-virus/Firewall/games/ emails/ addressess/ contacts - the whole fucking lot.

Now in the recent 'why i love DF thread' there was many a backslapping saying that you can find anything and everything here so, which one of you fine ladies and gentleman is going to explain to me how to get this back.

Not all of it but you might get some back.
The first thing is stop using it; get another hard drive in there and put windows on that, and install an undelete program,then slave in the old one and run undelete and back up anything you might find. and hope for the worst.The more you use the drive the more files you will write over with swapfile and saving stuff and then that part is all gone.
Lesson 2 always save files you want to a partition then this dont hapen.
Lesson 3 when done Ghost the C: drive somewhere and you dont need to install all your stuff next time.

Sorry mate but its a pain to do all this but its all you got left now.

that just a lil while ago , there is a guy from another forum(bst), who can recover data his prices where reasonable , hes in canda he said he would recover my data from a hdd whose head has gone for £65 inclusive of postage from canada which is cheap consdidering people out there ar charging grands ££££
