Sky Freeview
I am looking to stop paying for my Sky sub as I don't watch much of it apart from E4, Extreme Sports, BBC3 and 4, ITV2, Living and a couple of others.
Is there a definitive list anywhere as to what is available on Skys freeview and what do I do to make it work. Ideally a comparison of what is on both would be good. I have had a search round this forum but couldn't find much.
Any help appreciated.

The following channels are available (depending on your box), for a monthly subscription of £7.99: UK Gold , TCM (Movies), UK Style, UK Food, British Eurosport, Discovery, Discovery Real Time, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Television X (Adult). These services are offered by TopUp TV. RedHot TV (adult) is also available on subscription
Top Up TV channels
Freeview channels and services are digital. You receive them through a rooftop aerial.
You pay a one-off equipment cost for a digital adapter that allows your existing television to receive the digital signals. This connects to your existing aerial socket and costs under £99.
Or you can buy an integrated digital TV with the adapter built in (an iDTV).
Then, once you are set up to receive Freeview, there is no more to pay (you may need to upgrade your aerial) and no contract. Freeview really is free-to-view.
Most UK homes are in a coverage area. Our postcode checker will tell you if you are in a Freeview coverage area.
If you’re in a coverage area you should be able to get Freeview with your existing rooftop or loft aerial and wiring provided they are in good condition. However, you may still experience poor quality digital reception and therefore need to get your aerial installation checked.Your local electrical retailer should be able to arrange an aerial survey and upgrade if you need one.

I think this guy is after a list of free to view channels available using his sky dish and receiver but without paying his sky subscription, NOT details of freeview....

Free Channels on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform
This list is aimed at UK viewers, viewers outside the UK without an FTV card will not get some of the EPG listed channels shown below.
FTA means Free to Air, No viewing card is required.
FTV means free to view, You need a viewing card, either a 2nd generation free to view card (Dark Blue) or a Sky Viewing Card. . Free to view channels are only viewable on a sky digibox.
Free to view cards are available again:- http://www.freesatfromsky.co.uk/ By the way skys "Freesat" is nothing more than what you see below it still does not include all the freeview channels (see my FAQ below).
Freeviews, some channels offer free viewing tasters at certain times of the day.

The BBC channels are all now Free to Air. Most of the subscription channels are now shown in the FTA EPG (Dead/No card inserted) for some reason, but not ITV,CH4, or Five!
ITV London and Channel 4 London are now available on 963 & 964 throughout the country (except in london) to provide the audio description service (also available on five and BBC ONE London, SKY ONE and BBC 2,3,4, CBBC and CBeebies)
Freeview Channels FAQ
A lot of people have been asking about the availability of the channels that are available on Digital Terrestrial Televsion (also known as "Freeview"). Unfortunately not all of them are free on Satellite for example:-
The Hits, TMF, Sky Travel, Sky Sports News, UK History, UK Bright Ideas, FTN, and now E4!
These channels require you to get the family pack at £21.00 a month and if you have not subscribed to Sky before, you are subject to a 12 month minimum subscription! So you might as well get yourselves a cheap DTT box at £35+ and enjoy the channels for free forever. (If you are lucky enough to live in an area where you can get DTT!)
Also you get ABC1 and 3C Radio which are not available on sky at the moment.
