A couple of little critters...

Bottom one was real easy to photograph cos it seemed to be stoned on the pollen!

Nothing special, a 4meg Canon IXY L. Images are cropped, but otherwise unaltered.

I tried to get some pics of bumble bees, but they vibrate when collecting pollen and the ixy couldn't keep up - so I had to find some dopey bugs instead.

First one is unfortunately in portrait and the second has someone standing the the background, but here you go anyway... (I had to run them through Photoshop to get the size down for ImageShack)

They don't look quite as good when you see the whole image!

F2.8 according to the exif data.

Nice shots by the way, it's not easy getting sharp closeups of bugs out in the wild.

Superb shots, I like taking wildlife pictures and I agree with Slarti - not easy - for me usually a lot of luck is involved.

they are loverly photos m8 well done (without an slr without a macro lens aswell!! i think you deserve an award for that on its own)

i remeber trying something similar a while ago and just got a wasp pissed at me and ended up getting stung

They're really cool. I like how colourful they are. Corrr blimey charlie how close did you get to the wasp? It looks like your nose must have been tickled by it?
