    Default USB or WIFI

is it possible to transfer data between PSP and PC via the WiFi or does it have to be done by USB??

For some reason i thought as i would get a USB cable with my value pack? must have misunderstood.

so just got it through the door this morning, with midnight club3 which is pretty cool. got long loading periods tho!?

any suggestions as to some other fun things to do with it??

    cheers

There is a FTP server out for the PSP but to be honest 11mbps WLAN versus 400mbps USB2 - I know which I would choose. The USB cable is a standard USB to USB mini cable (Not sure on the exact terminology there). The cable on my portable hard drive and Canon 300D work with the PSP with no problems at all.

You should be able to pick one up for a couple of quid from PC World or even Dixons

There are very strict guidelines on encoding to PSP video format - PSPVideo9 is "probably" the easiest I have found although because of the particular codec that Sony chose to use the size is still quite large for most videos.

Hopefully someone will make a played that uses the latest XviD codec at some point.

Check your PSP firmware version - if you have 1.00 or 1.50 DO NOT UPGRADE as you can only use homebrew apps/games on these versions currently.

This will encode to the PSP compliant video for now. There is a homebrew XviD player but its still a really early beta and has no sound and a choppy frame rate. Keep checking back here - I'm sure as soon as one becomes available it'll be talked about here
