Nokia 6600 - Where do I put the maps

I managed to come across the tomtom mobile software on the newsgroups and installed it but there were no maps with it.

I found the GB map but need to know where to put it. Do I just moved the directory called "Great-Britain-Map" to the root of my mmc or does it go in one of the tomtom program folders.

the Great_Britain-Map folder should be on the root of your mem card.

Any other maps go in the same place under their own folder

didn't work, the software just says no maps found. I put the folder on the root of my mem card or did you mean put the contents of the folder on the root?

the folder mate, which GB map did you find? was it from TT5?

I thought it was. I've found another version that has the program and the maps all in one so I'm going to download and try that

I'm assuming the only mistake I am making is not using a card reader to copy the folders over. I'm using bluetooth and it's driving me mad waiting for half an hour copying the files over.

Got one on order but it doesn't get here until Sept 6th cos I went for the cheapo delivery option.

Yep was making the mistake of using the nokia phone suite to copy them to the card. Used a SD card reader which worked a treat.

Got a Globalsat BT-338 on it's way. Tried the demo and it's calculating some strange routes from my house to the M4. As I live between the M25, M40 and M4 it wants me to get on the M25 them on to the M4. I can go across town to skip the M25 and a junction of the M4. Still worked alright once I'd calculated the route via a road close to the M4 juncion I get on at.
