DiSEqC 1.2 Motor

I have had a Humax CI-5100 for a few years working very happlily on a fixed dish. I am interested in upgrading to a motorised dish and have been looking at using a DiSEqC 1.2 motor and dish pack option as it says it needs just the one cable.

I haved looked at the specifications for the CI-5100 and it says that DiSEqC 1.0 and 1.2 are available. Does this mean that the receiver is capable of connecting directly via the coax to the motor or does it mean i need to buy a separate unit such as a postioner to run the motor.

I cannot find any mention of DiSEqC in the menus...

Can anybody advise me what i need to buy to make my system motorised???

just connect the humax 2 the motor and the motor 2 the lnb and your away

Yeah Diseq 1.2 should be OK you have to set is as 'Motorized' cant remember exactly where that is (I have the 5400) but it should work.

Incidently if your looking for a STAB motor id recommend the heavier duty one the HH120 over the HH100 ive had both and the 120 is vastly superior.

On a cheeky note i'm moving to the States in Oct and my whole motorized kit has to go

By the way does anybody know where I can find the option to set my CI-5100 to motorised? I have lost the manual for it....

Can only advise on the 5400 which is in : 'Service Searching' ... 'Antenna Setting' select the satellite you want and 'Motorized system' is a selection at the bottom of the page
