PC DVD Rom drive in a Slim PS2?

Im thinking of making a PS2 and PC in one box for my car. Im going to use mini itx stuff for the PC and a slim ps2 ive got spare. i was wondering if i could have them running from one DVD drive and have some sort of switcher just to save space in the box? Any links to such projects will be appreciated.

cant be done im affraid, you could get the HD kit for the PStwo and just keep all the games on a 120gig

Yeah I was thinking of doing that too, had one on my other ps2 before it got nicked, wasnt that bad got a slim one from the insurance company.

yeah i see why you would do this, the slim ps2 isnt exactly ideal for a car thanks to the error of making it a top loading dvd drive

its not exactly an error, more of a space saving option, the pstwo is so small, its so nice, such power in a small box. i want it mastar, i wants it

well it might save space in the unit but its pointless because the buyer cant save space thanks to needing room for it to open is what i mean, a laptop slot dvd drive woulda been better
