A 2001 Ford Mondeo cluster will probably have a 68HC12D60 0K13J (QFP 80) MCU. You will need MotoCracker and an interface to read and write to this device. You do not need to power the cluster whilst reading/writing just supply 5v to the MCU.
So, you'll need four connections to the cluster: +5v, GND, Reset and BDM
If you have the gear and understand the above then its pretty straight forward to dump the mileage data. Once dumped post the dump and I'll change the mileage for you.
If you don't understand the above and/or don't have the hardware required then take it to someone with a DashFixer kit. Its an easy 30 min of a job if you have the right gear. You'll be charged £80+ depending on where you are.
