Police said the haul of 1,500 plants, was worth more than £1.5m. Six men and one woman were arrested. Three men have been charged with drug-related offences and are in custody. The other four were bailed. The raids were carried out as part of Operation Applejack on homes in Bishop Auckland, Coundon, Ferryhill and West Cornfirth and Rainton. <!-- E SF -->
