Wireless Broadband

Ive never used or seen a wireless set up so here goes.


My aunt has just bought an old laptop that has a wireless 802.11 card in it.
She wants to know what else she needs to enable her to get broadband installed and running.
Dunno if the spec matters but its a pentium 2 400mhz.

Dappa all your aunt needs is a wireless router.

Who is her broadband provider?

If she's with a provider using a BT line then she needs to get an ADSL Wireless Router.

I take it any broadband wireless router will do?

Telewest is cable, so It needs to be a cable broadband router, not an ADSL one.
