laptop prob

hello i have a sony vaio laptop which i bought of a mate for £20. but the only thing is that the screen is very dark so dark that you cant use it, it works fine with a monitor pluged in! could anyone tell me jf the screen is done in or if its something easy to sort out??:nowords:

it may be dimmed down using the keys on the laptop , to turn mine up and down i use FN key (and the blue icon that displays up) urs may be diffrent , so what i am trying to say is look for a function key and look around the buttons on ur laptop for icons that may ajust it hope this helps

If it ain't fixed by adjusting brightness/contrast, the back light has gone, not too difficult to replace and I don't imagine they would be that expensive.
