psp g2 as early as next year?

rumours are appearing that the next generation psp could launch as early as next year.

technicly the same as the current psp it would remove the memory stick port and replace it with a 20gb hard disc allowing the storage of mp3's or video files whilst allowing the transfer of saved games and pictures to another psp by wireless link.

looks like sony think that may reduce the "added flexibility" that the mem stick offers current psp models

i wounder what will happen with the current PSP that dont have the Hard drive?
We will need the memory cards instead the HD, or there will be am option to add the H.D.

the hd will only be used to store mp3s etc, i doubt they will allow games to utilise it in a way that the game wouldnt work on a non HD equiped machine (like the blunder MS are blindly walking into)
I would expect some games could use soundtracks off it tho, as they should be able to now really but non seem to

it was in one of their finacial reports they dont display them on their website so i want teasing simply saying where the story had originated, i'd suggest googling the company name then psp on the same search it should find a few mentions of it.
