Resolution Probs v2

Hi all,

on my Laptop it only gives me a shite resolution 1024x768 as the highest (obvoulsy a g card issue).

But when I ran a live version of Linux from a CD I could get a much higher resolution and looked much better!

Is there any hacks etc.. to set the res higher....... I'm thinking probably not but would be nice.

Check the manufacturars website. i had this last week with one i rebuilt and once i found a proper lcd driver it is great.by default windows used a laptop lcd driver but it was nowhere near right till i looked the website and found the right one.its like installing a monitor if its not the right driver, you dont get the resolution.
