panasonic shuts off after 20 seconds any ideas?

got a gold coloured panasonic sky digibox, and when powered up iget an output on the tv, searching for satalite then goes back to standby. can i reset the software by holding certain buttons etc? any help would be nice, thanks.

you can force an update by holding down the backup button and plugging the power lead in - it should then come up on the telly updating. You can leave go of the backup button at that point and wait for the box to update and then reboot.

If you can get into the engineers menu check the signal strength.

hi, thanks for the info, worked a treat. i kicked myself as well as i let a panasonic box go for a fiver afew months ago with the same problem. we live and learn, once again thanks.
