d500 orange 'network lock' code?

hiya. got a d500 thats obviously locked to orange; when i put a different network sim in the phone it asks for a network code. anyone know

a) is this a standard code for all d500s on orange, and if so what it is

b) how do i go about getting this network lock code? i've tried the 7337 trick to no avail

any help appreciated

you'll need to use a serial datacable with 9v connector , and software to read the network unlock code , plug the cable into the handset , with the handset turned off , click readimeisetting , software says "waiting for TAT mode" , just press and hold the power button (3 secs) on the handset and the screen will turn blue saying tatmode in red , just wait a few seconds and the codes will be displayed , just remove the cable , take out the battery and insert a sim that is'nt accepted and enter the 8 digit code. See attached jpg for which code to use... , you can grab the software from here

unfortunately dont have the equipment required so bugger that idea. will just have to stump up the cash to get it reflashed which will no doubt sort it, right?

It doesnt need reflashing m8, just unlocking.

But you can send it to me and I will debrand and unlock it for you m8. PM me if you want it doing.

i say get it reflashed because its orange and want to use an o2 sim with it. i was under the impression the orange software/firmware had problems with o2 sims?

Well it does sometimes m8. But if I debrand it there wont be any problems at all m8,,, lol.
