The curtain has fallen on Big Mac's carreer, sent off nine times and sin binned so often. Did I mention Stuart Fielden is and always will be his b1tch?
He hasn't done too badly considering hes only had one eye since an accident when he was 15. How many premiership footballers on £80k a week can compete with that? A true personality of the game who now joins the Rhinos coaching staff. For me, our best prop this season and last who leaves a huge gap behind.
If you haven't read his autobiography, give it a read. Very entertaining, here is an extract (this was during a test match GB v Australia):
"I heard one of the Australians, Ricky Stuart, saying `he's on, he's on,' let's get the one-eyed bastard. I have to admit that got to me.
"I thought, `Right I am going to shut the lot of you up here. I am going to hit one of you so hard you will all remember who I am.'
At the time Stuart was in what we call the bobbying position, ten to 15 yards behind anyone else. He needed to be. Had he been stood toe to toe with me he wouldn't have said it."
