    Question Insurance Companies

Can anyone suggest some cheap insurance companies?

I keep getting really expensive quotes. I know I am a young rider but £1600+ for a Aprilia rs125 or a Honda cbr125 or a Honda nsr is robbery. Also does anyone know any bikes that are decent but cheap insurance wise? Im just getting into riding and too confused.

    Cheers!

If you are a noob to the roads, then you are going to get stung regardless of what you ride or drive.

The old lady & I use Carole Nash for our insurance. I pay £93 a year fully comp for a modded Kawasaki Z900, while that lucky bitch pays £68 a year fully comp for a Triumph 750 hardtailed chop.

The cheapest quotes I got were from confused.com £500 cheaper than Bennets for a 750 SRAD.

Biketeam.co.uk are pretty good as well, especially young riders.

Probably too late now, but one for the future. Buy a bike over 25 years old, anything will do, it doesn't have to work, but preferably one which you can legally ride. Join the Vintage Motor Cycle Club for around £21 or £25 quid a year and get in touch with Footman James. You can insure the "classic" and this then entitles you to insure a modern bike on the same policy. Can't guarantee it will be the cheapest, but it may be worth a try.

Top tip. Get a quote before buying that old classic and joining the VMCC, just in case.
