Popups

I know it`s old and i should remember but having a memory like a sieve iv`e forgot :|
Isn`t there something you can do in windows to stop pop ups?
Had a virus infection, ran loads of spyware programs and norton e.t.c to get rid but my p.c keeps getting these bloody pop-ups.
Got Norton firewall.

popups from wbsites can be killed with either your firewall or peerguardian/protowall or a popup killer like pop up stopper companion

mesenger popups can be killed with something like shoot the messenger available from www.grc.com (i think)

If you use Internet Explorer (IE) - go to Tools - Pop Up Blocker - Turn On.
