    Default Audio recording? To MP3?

    Can anyone help,
I'm looking to capture audio via my line in on my soundcard/built in.

It must have MP3 conversion and auto recording as soon as it hears some noise.

I get a lot of white noise too so if it has a filter.

Plus it has to be freeware....yes I want the moon on a stick!

    Anyone?

i cant check till i get in but mp3 sound stream springs to mind although theres a few trial progs mainly from magix that can clean up the recordings afterwards to get rid of the hiss

i never though theres the freeware they use for podcasting that has the filters on it as well and its free (although id take incognito up on the offer though lol)

    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows

its called audacity and ill be honest ive never tried it but theres plenty of podcasts out there that do theres also this page of links to software that may be of help
