Nissan anti theft NATS imobiliser help !!!!

My missus drives a 1.0 micra 1998 fitted with this NATS system, she drove it home today from work no problems and tonite she went to start it to go the gym and it refuses to fire up, it spins over but nothing happening.Just not firing ,these nissans are always first time starters.
I checked all the leads all ok electronic ignition so no rotar arm.tried to start it but engine management system light stays on in dash
so I am under the impression it is the immobiliser
can anyone help ???
1. to disable the thing
2. come up with some alternatives

I have a 1 year old Nissan Primera & it's refused to start due to NATS with the light on the dash several times. The only way I have got around it is to lock then unlock the doors then try again. Had to do this about 10 times once before it started.
Going in for 2nd service soon so i'll mention it then, but I can't see them fixing it as it works majority of the time.

problem is it hasn't got central locking its apoor mans version of the primera
