    Default Heated Gloves

I want to get a set of heated gloves but having several pairs of biking gloves since getting my bike I have realised that there are some good quality gloves and really bad quality ones.

Really I want some that wire into the bike as I think battery ones will be a pain. They will be going on a Yam TZR 125 so would also like to know if it will handle the power drawn from the gloves.

    Can anyone recommend some?

Don't know if they have changed since my days, but heated gloves never seemed to be a lot of bottle back in the eighties. If anything, a good quality pair of handlebar muffs were much more effective at keeping the wind chill factor down.

If you do find a pair of gloves that take your fancy, then let me know what the current drain is and I'll do the maths with regard to power consumption for you though.

They look quite nice and cheaper than the ones I have found which are these ones:

Each pair draws about 22 Watts/1.5 Amp.

    Hi M8s,
Never had heated gloves when i was a boy, and we had colder winters then back in the 60s. on me bsa bantam and nsu quickly. the joys of riding a motor cycle. in the olden days. use to keep me hands warm by putting them on the barrell of the engine. cost was nought. those fab days, and im still riding today the old brit classics. happy christmas everyone. leonard.

Ha ha, nice one, Leonard. I remember doing things like that in the seventies, and throwing snow on the barrels to cool the engine down. Can you get to the engines on modern sports bikes to warm your hands up?

I remember being astounded at how much warmer new gloves were, just because the lining wasn't compressed by a year's worth of riding (no "seasonal" gloves in those days). I also remember the pain when my hands warmed up too quickly and being unable to unfasten my helmet because my fingers wouldn't move. Aah, happy days (I was single then! )
