    Default AVOID DVDSOON.COM

OK some of you may know of my problem with DVDSoon.com.

They owe me and thousands of others money (i'm owed $100 cdn)

    Anyhow just got this email:

    Dear Client;

It is with a lot of regret and sadness that we must announce the closure of the company 9086 - 8316 Québec Inc who managed the operations of DVDSoon.com.

The assets of DVDSoon.com have been taken by Canadian Distribution Services which means the site will remain open and all activities will be maintained. Therefore all pending orders will be honored.

Unfortunately all operations that were suspended and were the responsibility of 9086 - 8316 Québec Inc will not be honored. These operations include credits, refunds, replacement requests, and Fidelity iPoints.

If you wish to obtain more information please send your questions to:

    9086 - 8316 Québec Inc.
    1001, Boul. Montarville #75023
    Boucherville Québec
    J4B 7Z2

We thank you for your support and your comprehension.

    Good news

Juyst spoke to my credit card company, they said the 120 days have passed for me to file a complaint, however as a gesture of good will they will credit my card with £36 as I have been a valued customer for years!!!!

Better than a smack in the teeth! 10 minutes ago I was $100 cnd down!

Passion, who's your credit card company?

My company has done it out of goodwill, what I might do is order some DVD's off Soon now and pay the postage (Which you have to do when you buy items on Credit!!) and see what happens.

Worst case scenario I lose a couple of quid trying...

    Nationwide (I think)
Probably won't do anything for me as I don't use it very often, just for international items as Nationwide don't charge you a fee.

I had 3 orders which I cancelled (placed on 6th April)
$53.98CAD x 2 and $44.98CAD totalling $152.94CAD, although I used $73.42CAD of this credit on other items before the switch-over, I have $79.52CAD left owing to me which they said would be refunded to my card from 1st November allowing 20 days to process
