    Default freeview channels gone!

My freeview (pansonic) box occasionally hangs and i have to reboot it, which also re-tunes it. But it re-tuned the other day, and i can't get sky sports news any more! have they removed it or is my box knackered?

it's on channel 83 i think, not 100% sure but all the freeview channels did get moved around recently. does it do a full rescan or a partial one? it might be worth resetting the whole thing and making it do a full re-scan for all channels...

have u ever looked into updating the firmware on the box? I have several goodmans boxes which I brought as faulty, a quick flash of a updated image and they worked a treat...

yeah i noticed it had moved to 83, but i get a no service message now. It's been off for a few days.

where would i get a new firmware version? is it easy to upgrade?

    cheers

i've lloked again, and before I had a "no service" message, but now the channels just aren't there. Or sky news. Any ideas?

    check the www.dtg.org.uk
retailer section. put in postcode, it will tell you your likely transmitter and channel list, this may point you in the right direction.
