ok im a complete and utter fool got two probs with the xbox 360 they are as follows

1)got it connected to the broadband box(telewest supplier) computer lead removed so only the xbox is connected to it should the xbox just do its business as it doesnt like it,keeps testing and failing ip address check sorry for vague info hope someone can help

    2) i have a phillips 26" lcd tv says its hd ready it only appears to have 2 scarts and one set of three phono sockets(red/yellow and white) i cannot seem to get it into hd mode and yes i have the premium pack using the phonos into a scart adapter what are the other three connectors for coloured red green and blue i aint using them and cant see any similarly coloured sockets for them

to get HD you have to use the component connectors (red, green, blue). whats your tv's model number m8?

you need to check the manual you may be able to put one of the scarts into component mode, but you'll need some cable trickery to do it (pins 7,11,15 on the connector if memory serves) They are usually the RGB pins but on some sets they can be set to accept a component input.

on further inspection it appears you have a DVI-I interface. DVI-I is digital and analogue capable and your set has the capability to display 720p native and 1080i scaled so you should be fine. An adaptor should sort you out but its still worth checking the manual.

(page 17/18 in your manual) looks like you need a component to vga then vga to dvi adaptor
