Where do you do one ?
I can do it with the RAC website, but that charges £25 is that the going rate.
It always wants chassis number etc, if im going to buy a car I only have the reg.
Can you do it just off that ?

You can do it just off the reg m8, it cost's about a fiver to do one, I'd be inclined to ask a local car trader to do it for you, should be the cheapest option.

I dunno if they still do it if you have a mobile on Orange their wap service did a check for £10-15 quid..
