Have you got an internet connection set up through the network? If so does this still work?

Im guessing you got all the basic settings like, workgroup as the same and set up file transfer etc

Can you browse each others files? If not, try to bridge the connections under network connections. Select Local area network, and connection 1394, right click and click bridge. Worked straight away afterwards for me.

Also make sure the IPX protocol is installed. I installed Red Alert 2 on some machines this weekend for a good old blast and they wouldn't connect, installed IPX and all worked after re-loading the game.

Keep an eye out for Defcon. It's out in April and looks like a riot. Think War Games ("Shall we play a game?!") and there you have it. It will be released on multiple platforms including Windows, Linux and Mac.

Here's the Wiki page with some info : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defcon_(computer_game)

listen m8 networks can and are a royal pain in the ars3, you going wireless on the internet connection is a cool idea as you dont need to share the connection and dont need to have one pc on all the time so as the other can log on, but, i or we the family play a lot of stuff over a lan and we are still using cat 5 and hub etc and we benefit from the fact that we set up one pc on net and then run "setup a small office or home nework" and that sets permissions and file and printer share etc so all i have to do is pick the drives to share and it always does the trick for us even when ppl bring there pc here so give that a go. I am no expert here m8 and have had my own probs in the past that have drove me round the bend and the biggest has been xp home cos it seems to be a little network unfriendly.give it a go and have lots of fun like we do, games we thing rock are MOH (all of em)
revolt (still a muts nuts of a game with 4 or 5 ppl on)
    fear (fast a fcuk)
    devastation (weapons are awesome here)
nfs mw (jesus this sucks as far as settin it up goes but nice once its running)

an i cant get farcry to lan for love nor money but hey mohaa still does it for us and revolts the best racer if you play with the cars parameters so keep plugging away m8 as its all worth the effort......

Why does "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean
    the same thing?
