another wireless keyboard and mouse question

hi

i've just got a new pc and was hoping to swap the wired mouse and keyboard that came with it for a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse combo i had on my old pc.

problem is that the new pc's keyboard and mouse are connected by usb cables, there aren't any sockets for the green and purple connectors

do i need to get a new combo with usb connectors??

You can get an adaptor to take it from ps2 to usb
