Default Ghosting Xbox hard drive, games now not working

I have a aladdin xt in my xbox along with a 200gb drive. Just installed another aladdin in a mates and used ghost with /ir switch to copy my 200GB seagate to his 200GB maxtor.

Ghost ran fine, installed drive and XBMC loads, all files there. Go to load game from HD and it just resets. Same with all games.

XBMC is all working normally and connecting tot he net etc.

Any ideas? Worst case I guess I'll have to load all the games back on from my xbox but will take bloody ages over LAN.

Have you cleaned out all the cache directories on the hard drive - and perhaps save games too?

the clear the cache files u would just need to delete any files in the x/y/z partitions, the delete the saves, either do it from the ms dash or remove any files in the Udata folder (i think thats the correct name, cant check at the mo)

you can also try reinstalling xbmc

The X,Y and Z partitions get created on the fly anyway. Worth checking that the clock is set on the Xbox - every so often that catches me unawares. If the clock is set it has problems for some reason and without the MS Dash it will not report it to you.

And I'm not sure you can FXP between boxes with XBMC - Might have to use UnleashX to do that and even then I'm not 100% convinced the PASV/PORT commands are fully implemented so may not work 100%.

As 909 says there is an app called XB-FTP Check that out. It will allow xbox-xbox transfers

Had a fiddle and getting nowhere. Backing up all my games to PC (200GB = a long time) and downloading autoinstaller disc to wipe and reinstall.

Never done a fresh install so will be good to learn.

Xbox --> Xbox transfers are (and have been for ages) working perfect in XBMC. Just use FlashFXP and transfer away, I do it all the time with np's what-so-ever.

Thats a waste of time and stress on your desktops hard drive! Just do directly from Xbox -- Xbox
