Downgrading

hey i want some comments on what i'm thinking about doing, i got a psp back when they 1st came out so its a v1.50 and have just been getting more into it, so i want to play some of the newer games but i think you need to upgrade would it be worth my while up grading to the 2.00 or the 2.60?
if not what do you think i should do.

if your goin to upgrade up it to 2.0 if u go over that you will not b able to downgrade back to 1.5 that means no more h/b or back up games

most of the newer games are getting slowly cracked to play as iso's on a 1.5, so i'd stick with what you have mate. Of course, if homebrew and ripped games aren'ty your thing then just upgrade. But if thats what you want to do, I'm sure some people on this board would love to swap a new 2.01+ for you old 1.5 anyday of the week.

Why not install and run sxtversionchanger to trick the PsP into believing it is running version 2.0 or higher. I use it myself and it avoids getting your version updated by any games you are playing.

Bug

They have? I've been off the "scene" for a while and have fell behind a bit. I thought the majority of the latest releases were still unplayable?

check the forums on psp-hacks or psp3d for more info, i grabbed a few from blackcats before it went down and the comments confirmed they were working, but not being on a 1.5 (yet) I can't test.

I can only remember the hustle as being one of them, not at home right now.
