    Help blue screen of death

    Ok guys heres my situ


    about a week ago my laptop started acting a bit strange ,you know strange and stuff (a bit slow) So I did the usual scans and that fixed some things but since then when I am downloading anything (torrents mainly ) after ten mins or so my laptop locks up and I get the blue screen of death .Apart from that evrything is working fine if i dont download it stays on fine but as soon i start to download it happens ,any ideas ??

    What's showing up on your BSOD? There's usually some STOP codes or halt errors. If you can write it/them down and post it might be easier to diagnose.

    go into the event viewer log and see what error codes it has recorded

    If it's turning off & restarting you should inhibit that right now..

    control panel > system > advanced > startup/recovery > settings, then uncheck "automatically restart".

    Then post your code(s) back here when it happens again

    ok Guys its took me a while to get the screen to stay on long enough to read but I have managed so here are the error codes it says on the blue screen o death

    well everyone have tried the suggestions of other people that have suffered from this problem and done various updates and stuff but still i get the problem ,But it is only when I am downloading something it happens after about 6 or 7 mins if I upload the same thing using the same programs and such it is ok ,,,I am at a total loss

    There is one other thing you can try. It'll cost you maybe an hour or two...

    Boot your laptop up from your installation CD. When you get to the install/repair options select option "R", which will start up the Recovery Console.

    When the console eventually starts up (it's like a black dos window) enter the command "chkdsk /r" without the quotes. This will ensure you're not suffering a HD corruption. Take a mental note if the chkdsk command reports any lost clusters or broken file fragments (don't worry, if it finds any it should repair them ok).
