    Default Folder Lock 5.3.5

    Anyone using the above program i am having problems finding where you enter the ID/REG info at the moment i am using the free trial

    If the space for entering registration info is not under the help > about tab, or does not have it's own option on the file menu, then there is a good chance that the trial software doesn't allow itself to be registered.

    If that is the case, then you are going to need to get a full version from somewhere.
    Just out of curiosity, why are you messing about with a 3rd party app when XP already has the ability to secure files/folders from unauthorised access?
    Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
    Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
    Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
    Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

    As a newbie to the net & XP i just installed that, does it mean that trial version will not expire? only way to get full version is to pay for it thats my understanding

    Yes it will expire, that's why it's called a "trial"
    only way to get full version is to pay for it thats my understanding
    You understand correctly, although I'm sure if you look hard enough then you will find a full version somewhere.

    As I said above though, XP already has the ability to stop unauthorised access to folders & files if you are using the NTFS filing system.

    thats why i could not find how to do this with xp im using FAT32 i keep getting problems when using NTFS so went back to FAT32 i use folder guard now
