Hi m8, the 6230i is an updated version of the 6230 with a few differences. Maybe the Nokia website could help point out these differences but it WONT tell you if the 7250i cable will fit.
I can tell you that it wont fit m8, you will need to purchase a new cable. Alternatively you could purchase a bluetooth dongle as these are pretty much universal these days as most handsets are now bluetooth.
cheers for some positive and simple input here m8,got a bt dongle anyway so all good

Is that not enough information to tell you that they don't use the same cable?
BTW: The cable does "fit", it just doesn't work
We will have enough of that thank you.Originally Posted by BrianT
Also, what is the point of it "fitting but not working" Thier choice of wording may be slightly different to yours. When someone asks if it will fit they generally mean "will it work"
what did I say that caused offence ?Originally Posted by Termy
My comment was in relation to you saying "but it WONT tell you if the 7250i cable will fit." hence the smilie at the end of the it.Originally Posted by Termy
But it doesnt say that it WILL fit but WONT work. You have to read into the context the post was written, IE "Will it fit" = will it work, not "Will it fit = will it fit, but not bothered if it works or not.Originally Posted by BrianT
My comment was because if you are foing to go through the trouble of helping someone it is just as much trouble to say "it will fit but not work" as it is to say "Forgive me, but when you go to 6320i phone and look under data accessories it tells you the cable is a DKU2, and when you go into the 7250i data accessories it tells you DKU-5 and a CA-42 (which is just an updated DJU-5).
Is that not enough information to tell you that they don't use the same cable?" and then go on to say "BTW: The cable does "fit", it just doesn't work "
I dont want any bad feeling in this section as its only a phone section, thus my comment "We will have enough of that thank you." It was a comment that I would make to anybody who I felt was being a tad "funny"
easy on m8,i aint no mobile phone wizardOriginally Posted by BrianT
hence the reason i asked these questions........THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP
