    Info neighbours

    NOT FOR ME!!!

We have just moved to Canada and my wife is missing neighbours.

Is there any way of streaming the episodes from anywhere and not just the catch ups on the BBC??

    Many thanks in advance

sadly they are downloadable off newsgroups, normally takes a day or so to appear.

note: never done it, just observant...honestly

    Info Re: neighbours

As you are obviously very observant , and not that I want it for myself but for the wife gaining big brownie points and also the fact that what I know about news groups and searching you could write on the back of a postage stamp.

You wouldn't have any idea about which of the newsgroups would be a good one to start looking through??

    Many thanks and K already

    they'll be on alt.binaries.multimedia I think.

Best bet, as you're a full fledged DF member, is to search for newsgroups, you'll get tons of info on recommendations for servers, websites, readers, guides and all that shizney that goes along with it.

just don't let bertroot catch you asking about it

Right, spent hours on this and I am getting nowhere.
Probably something I am doing though.

Right, used binage as recomended by casio as in GrabIt I have exceded my search limit.
I am getting an NZB file and opening it in GrabIt which is attempting to download all the rar etc files.
All of the rar files it downloads are incomplete grabs. for most of the days I am trying.

Is it me or am I doing something wrong

    Thanks

I have to agree, although they tax absolutly everything over here. You even have to pay a monthly fee for a bank account and without the soaps the missus is getting a bit home sick.

    I'm fine......Honest

i hear the legal system is good in canada for a few things

I used to use newshosting.com who were great and good value but I now use www.giganews.com who are more expensive but have double the retention.

i'd go with newshosting, unless u want to only download really small amounts, then i'd go with astraweb who offer a time-unlimited 65GB pay as u go amount fo £15 or £25 I forget. good value for money all round, depending on use.

Just signed up with Astraweb as it's a one off payment and I have never used before.
If I blow the 90Gb in no time then I will pay a monthly sub but want to know my usage first.

All of a sudden, newsbin has started fining and downloading the files, so all looks good at the moment. I will keep you posted but many thanks to you all.

exactly what i did initially, lasted just over two months then I got too involved and got a monthly account.

pay as you go gives a good impression of the service though.

Ok, All worked, got the episode from a couple of days ago, brownie points gained.

    And then she watched it.

The episode I got is off the Australian networks and is therefore 18-24 months ahead of the UK. Brownie points lost!!!

Is there any way of finding out where the binary comes from or is it just luck??

cant see it being 18-24 months ahead. more like 2-3 if that.

sometimes they will come with a .nfo file which will give you more information.
