Build your own, its cheaper and you will get a cracking machine for £1,000 quid M8.

Also by building your own you will understand what goes on and what goes inside the system, far better than a pre-built system.

I would never buy one from the likes of Comet, PC World etc because as far as Im concerned there systems are over priced.

Can go down that route yes, but start off by looking for the bits one by one and start building the system from the case up.

    Get a:

    Case,
    Motherboard,
    Ram,
    HD,

Etc, etc and when the are delivered you can start putting it all together.

Cooling is not hard M8 and there are loads of cases with inbuilt extra fans, video card coolers, hard drive coolers etc so you have a good choice to pick from.

If you need help and advice as you build, just post here and we will gladly help.

m8 if you can install memory, vid card hard drive ect then u can build a pc, and as the realist said youll get all the help you need on here.

been lookin round for some barebones systems, not seen any high spec ones yet, but summit like this would be ok for you

    64 BIT 4200 DUAL CORE X2 ATHLON SYSTEM 300GB X700 HDTV
512MB VIDEO CARD HIGH SPEC - TOP price 3 yr UK Warranty

but dont buy it from ebay lol

DONT BUY OEM PC'S in my opinion
for a grand you can get yorself a stonking pc and,,,this is the main factor here
1.you know whats happening inside as YOU built it
2.you will know that its gonna be high spec components(if you choose)
3.you will have a lot more upgrade options in the future
4.usualy alot cheaper and higher spec than OEM machines
AND THE TOTAL SATISFACTION WHEN COMPLETE AND YOU PRESS THAT POWER ON BUTTON FOR THE FIRST TIME

    JUST MY OPINION
