Default power supplies uk and europe

not sure where to post this, this seems to be a good place
i have got a few sets of creative labs surround sound speakers. the problem is that some of them have come with a european 2 prong plug.

my question is could i just cut the 2 prong plug off and wire an uk plug on the end, or would i need a shaver adapter plug.

i have a few sets and some came with uk plugs and some with the european plug, all the power supplies are the same except the plugs

Yes, you can just change the plug.

Or you could use a conveter like this.

yep... just cut the 2 pin plug off and you've got brown and blue core...just fit a 3 pin... think it says on the psu 220- 240v

alot of psu's, especially laptops, say 110 - 240v ... intelligent psu's ... feed them with any voltage between the stated and it will work.

as long as they are Class II insulation and the input voltage is ok you should be fine.
