Help Stutter Playing DVD's on 360

Anybody else suffering from stuttering when watching DVD's?

Some seem o.k. and others stutter. At first I thought that perhaps changing between 50Hz & 60 Hz for DOA4 may have been contributing to the problem... but no!

I've seen a couple of other boards where the subject has been touched upon but no real answer or solution has been mentioned.

    Cheers.

thanks for the responses... its on region 1's but they aren't copies... and running at 50hz doesn't make any difference... looks like I'll need to convince the other half for an HDTV

firstly, if they arn't copies how are you playin them? the xbox360 is not multiregion. secondly, hdtv does not solve the problem, im running the 360 in 1080i (it flicks into 480p on dvds) and they still jerk. hope you get it sorted.

i must agree that when playing original pal films it seems fine
but when viewing dvd-r backups that's when it seem's to have slight flicker/ stroke ghosting on the movie.
Its as if there's a image underneath the movie (its had to xplain) but not everytime only dvdr???
    hitachi 79FL flashed :)
