how this guy is still able to ref games outside the Ryman league is beyond me. I have never known him to have a good game.

he has been relegated to the lower leagues once already why the fuck did they let him back, he is a really poor excuse for a ref!

There is a programme on telly tonite after the barcelona - chelsea game. Called the truth about referees, I'd imagine it would be well worth watching

I'm unsure whether to post this really, on most forums I'd get "you're talking utter bollocks" back at me but anyway here goes...

8 days ago now the News Of The World rang my workplace up (a minor sports stadium). The call was taken by a receptionist who plainly said she won't comment on anything, but NOTW said they're wanting to interview some of the higher staff in connection with an investigation they've been doing for over a year now.

The investigation was to do with the following. A Premiership referee, a former director of the stadium i work at and a bent bookmakers. The subject - match fixing. Now, i really am not sure how serious this is or how much truth is in it or that the NOTW have in it, however here's a little background.

The director in question, Mr D.Hackett had been at our work for the past 10 years or so. 99% of the workforce have always thought he's one pervy bastard as he's always getting spotted walking in parks alone when the funfairs are on and kids footie matches are playing. Last October he was sacked from our work after being arrested for molesting a 13 year old and another underage boy or girl (we don't know the story). His trial is next week, after being formally charged for it. Anyway...

The referee - obviously - that Hackett used to invite down to the stadium for nights out is good old Uriah, and for 2 years I worked in the restaurant there at nighttimes, and who was sharing a table every few weeks or so? Hackett, Rennie and random representives from Betfred, who took over the main advertising of our stadium around 2 years ago, from William Hill. On two occasions Uriah has brought Dermot Gallagher down with him too for a meal and a chat.

As i've said, i'm unsure on exactly how big this could end up, bu i know the NOTW are wanting to interview the bigwigs here.

Anyway back to the Rennie grilling on on-the-pitch matters, I've always seen him as being a cunt since he sent Shearer off that time against Villa, he seems to have the concentration and common sense of Rio Ferdinand.
