live in central london, so my work is never really more than five miles, work with some guys who enjoy traveling, one does 90 miles each way the others come from birmingham everyday, crazy people, but me, just five miles haha
I drive to work, I always have even in my last two jobs. My first job when I was 17, I would get up at 8.45am, chuck on my clothes and drive like an idiot down the back streets to South Norwood (right by Selhurst Park) and still be on time for 9am.
I moved 5 years ago because I was driving 12 miles into work which was becoming a major pain in the arse, even though it was always against the traffic flow. So now I have halved my journey to just over 5 miles which at 6.30am takes around 10 minutes.
A couple of years ago my gf was doing a contract in Reading which meant 2.5hours commute every morning and night, 25 hours travelling a week....fook that!

I live in Huddersfield and work in York. I think it's 42 miles each way. Works out at around £240 a month in fuel. Jeez - I should really get a diesel.

Anon.
I like in Glasgow and travel to linlithgow which is 42 miles each way. If I am on dayshift it's 55mins to work and if I am working nighshift it can take up to 2 hours each way!!! fucking brutal.
Is not my vehicle. Drive the work van and all petrol is paid...I dont mind the 25 mile each way for that
Recent Mac convert...
live in Daventry work in Birmingham is about 90 mile round trip (45 miles each way)
I travel about 1.1 miles from little hulton to farnworth...takes me about 5 mins with morning traffic....not bad eh?
4.6 miles. Twenty minute cycle at the rank outside when it is negatively windy.
>60miles.... a train from deepest darkest Essex into the city...
38.221 miles (approx) Atherton to Blackpool.
38.220 miles if I can cut the bend on the M6/M55 turnoff
Warrington (Appleton) to Stoke about 35miles takes anything from 30-45mins depending on traffic, when i had the BM it cost me roughly £400 a month in fuel...killer !! now got a diesel estate and halved that bill

A few miles no big deal for me.
Drive a 93 mile round trip every day. Takes about 45 mins each way, that's if some dipshit hasn't crashed on the M4. If they have, I can look at anything up to 2 hours.
Drive 14 miles to and from work, getting to work down the A1(M) in the rush hour takes me about 45 minutes and getting home.......about 15:00 about 10
